Invade Russia with Napoleon & Faber du Faur
This illustrated talk explores the 1812 French invasion of Russia as seen through the eyes of Faber du Faur, a German artillery officer allied with Napoleon. Throughout the campaign Faber du Faur sketched everything he saw and later turned his field work into completed art. The talk uses Faber du Faur's images to bring this ill fated invasion and retreat to life.

This illustrated presentation explores the Revolutionary War experience of Jean Baptiste Antoine de Verger, a young French Lieutenant in Rochambeau's army. During the war de Verger kept an illustrated diary. The talk uses diary excerpts and images to showcase de Verger's dramatic war years in America.
